3.1. John Byro studies the horse carefully: looks at his teeth (which were exactly his horse's teeth that had been stolen) and asks his name
3.2. Gets suspicious but clears his suspicions due to their family's (Garoghlanian family) fame of honesty
3.3. The boys get guilty
