August- Collen Jones wins the Olympic Gold Medal and also becomes the 2nd African American to win the Gold Medal!

September- Michael Jordan was inducted in the Hall of Fame in September 11.

October- Barrack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize by the Nobel committe!
