POLOTICS/MONEY:

Australia is a capitalist society, the small upper class section control most of the countrys wealth while many Australians live in poverty. Most of the polotitions in government have been raised in upper class familys and have been educated in private schools. The decisions that are being made for young people are being made by people that dont understand the needs of the avarage young person.

As a youth worker it is important that we work towards building a communication network between youth and the government and that we advocate for the needs of young people through government agencys.

\n

POLOTICS/EDUCATION:

\n

Educating our young people should be one of the most important things on the political agenda. Working towards equality in education for our youth regardless of social class and improving our public school system should come before spending the billions of dollars we spend on funding war.

\n

Youth work should involve advocating on behalf of young people for more government funding for public shools and working with young people to get involved in decisions that affect their futures.
