When Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (as it is called in the UK) was published Jo was very poor and living on assistance. She is now one of the richest people in the world.

5.1. 1. The Boy Who Lived

5.1.1. A baby Harry Potter is left on the Dursley's doorstep by Albus Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall and Hagrid after a terrible thing happened to his parents.

5.2. 2. The Vanishing Glass

5.2.1. The family goes to the zoo for Dudley's birthday. While there Harry talks to a snake, and somehow makes the glass disappear and sets the snake loose.

5.3.1. Mysterious letters keep coming for Harry but the Dursley's won't let him open them. Vernon gets fed up and takes the family away but the letters keep coming.

5.15.1. The students serve detention with Hagrid in the forest looking for an injured unicorn. During that time Harry is almost attacked by a hooded figure drinking unicorn blood.

5.16.1. Harry, Ron and Hermione go through the trapdoor to stop Snape (they think) from stealing the Sorcerer's Stone for Voldemort.

5.17.1. Professor Quirrel is the one that was actually helping Voldemort, but he wasn't able to get the stone. Harry actually got the stone from the mirror. When Quirrel tried to steal it he was burned from touching Harry. Later, Dumbledore explains why Quirrel couldn't touch Harry. At the feast Gryffindor's win the House Cup.

7. Plot

7.1. Conflict

7.1.1. Despite his aunt and uncle's efforts Harry learns that he is a wizard, and has been accepted to Hogwarts. Once there he is faced with challenges related to Voldemort.
