Human Impact

Hunting

Many Platupuses are hunted for their tails and fur. They are hunted  for their pelts, which were used to make rugs Some times they get captured in shrimp traps

Pollution

Water pollution harms the platypus being a semi aquatic mammal. Humans wash dangerous chemicals in water. Even harsh cleaning toxic products make water dangerously polluted for these mammals.

Habitat Loss

Action Plan

Government Plan

Platypuses were formerly hunted for their pelts, which were used to make rugs, but they are now protected by law If a platypus is poached in australia you will have 10 years of prison The Government also builds reserves to keep these animals in their natural habitat  and away from things like Zoos

N.G.O. Plan

Raise awarnees of water pollution Write to the Australian Government to stop building on platypus homes Make posters to tell people to stop poachers
