Infiltration Trench or Basin?

1. Basin

1.1. can be smaller and deeper

1.1.1. slower time for the water to infiltrate

1.2. would not look like as much "flooding" occurred to residence

1.3. Coarse aggregate would not be needed

1.3.1. Kids are safe from playing with rocks!

2. Trench

2.1. the length to width ratio would be suitable for a long narrow trench

2.1.1. trench could be very narrow if we want it to span the entire length

2.2. trench overflow could go into detention basin

2.3. may not allow for a deep enough trench

2.3.1. shallow waters make it easier for bugs to breed

2.3.2. want the water to infiltrate slower rather than quicker

2.4. Trench full of rocks may look funny in a residential area

2.4.1. People don't want their children playing in the rocks
