1.1. The sun is a star.

1.1.2. There are eight planets and a large number of smaller objects orbiting the Sun.
2. Small Bodies

2.1.1. Small icy bodies which come and go from the inner parts of the solar system.
2.2. Asteroids
2.2.1. Small rocky, dense objects orbiting the Sun.
3. Main idea/Question: What are the objects in the Solar System?
4. Planets
4.1. There are eight planets. These are known as the big bodies orbiting the Sun.
4.1.1. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Pluto is considered a dwarf planet.
4.1.1.1. Inner Planets
4.1.1.1.1. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars
4.1.1.2. Outer Planets
4.1.1.2.1. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
4.1.1.3. Dwarf Planets
4.1.1.3.1. Pluto and at least two others
5. Satellites
5.1. There are more than 130 satellites of the planets.
5.1.1. A.k.a. moons, variously sized objects with highly eccentric orbits.
