3. Risk Management

3.1. Consults with officials to ascertain and define need or problem areas

3.2. Advises client on alternate methods of solving need or problem

3.3. Responsible for labor and union relations

3.4. Participate in the settlement of all related claims and review settlements to ensure adherence to policies

3.5. Reviews contracts, requests for proposals, lease language, insurance requirements, and developing contractual language for contracts

3.6. Communicates with attorneys and the public to address situations; reviews/approves contract language; communicates with department heads to lower risk of liability

3.7. Remains knowledgeable concerning legislative decisions.

4. Workforce Development

4.1. Maintains accurate, current, and continuous records of meetings, prepares agendas and other related documents.

4.2. Responsible for dispensing accurate information to Workforce Investment Board members and Committee members.

4.3. Maintains and updates all documentation to ensure compliance with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

4.4. Operates personal computer, copy machine, office machines, and other clerical machines.

4.5. Assists as secretary to the Workforce Investment Board performing required clerical tasks and dictation.

4.6. Provide assistance to committee chairs. Schedule committee meetings on a monthly basis.

4.7. Answers telephones, handling them personally, if possible.
