1. Irresponsible

1.1. Positive: Students have many responsibilities when at school that make them accountable and successful

1.2. Negative: When students do not take care of their responsibilities it can lead to missing out on fun activities in class

1.2.1. When students do not take care of their responsibilities like doing their homework this results in not having that extra learning and practice

2. Inconsistency

2.1. Positive: All students should be consistent on what they are doing

2.1.1. Things like finishing a task or doing your homework every night is something that help a student grow and become more independent and competent

2.2. Negative: When a student is inconsistent and does is doing something only half way it can lead to laziness.

2.2.1. As a teacher when a student is being inconsistent I will be there for them to make sure things get done all the way

2.2.1.1. For example making them finish their homework before getting to go outside and play

3. Showing up late

3.1. Positive: A student should be on time and be prepared to learn at all times

3.1.1. When a student is on time it shows that the child cares and is ready to learn

3.2. Negative: A student may show up late once or twice for reason but when it starts to be more consistent this shows a lack of caring

3.2.1. When being late becomes more consistence it may have something to do with the caregiver so as a teacher I would make sure everything is okay at home and make sure the caregiver is putting the child's need as a top priority so that he or she can learn what is needed

4. Inappropriate language

4.1. Positive: A students language at school should be school appropriate

4.2. Negative: A student should not be swearing or saying mean things to anybody

4.2.1. When this is the case with a student I will pull them aside and talk to them about how they should not talk because this can be harmful to other students trying to learn

5. Talking back/ Angry

5.1. Positive: Being kind and obeying what the teacher says

5.1.1. When a student asks questions instead of arguing this can be the best type of way to solve a problem

5.2. Negative: A student should not argue with the teacher and should stay calm and ask questions when frustrated

5.2.1. Some students may talk back and throw a tantrum for many different reasons, as a teach I would resolve the conflict by sending the kid out in the hall just so that they could calm down and then go talk to them so that they can get it out of their system

6. Disrespect

6.1. Positive: For a student being respectful to all things around them is very important to maintain

6.1.1. Being a respectful student will result in getting more respect back and gaining trust from peers and sometimes students, because everyone likes someone is respectful

6.2. Negative: Some students may not respect the environment and people around them this usually causes some type of conflict

6.2.1. When students do not have that respect this results in having to many discussions with the child and being put in a different environment as other students until they agree not to be disrespectful anymore

7. Problem working with others

7.1. Positive: Being able to work with others is a skill all students should be able to comprehend

7.1.1. Working with others can help students develop better social and cooperative skills which is needed to in day to day life

7.2. Negative: Students may work together and not get along because they disagree or may not know how to socialize with other students

7.2.1. When students have these problems working with other students to resolve this they can be put with an adult helper and student who understands that they are not very good at working with others and help them develop a better connection of teamwork

8. Messy/ unorganized

8.1. Positive: Students are responsible for cleaning their own mess and keeping their space clean and tidy

8.1.1. When students put their stuff away and leave their desk clean it teaches them to be more self organized and feel more positive

8.2. Negative: When students do not put away and keep their space clean this can lead to laziness and lack of responsibilities

8.2.1. For example when desk is messy and unorganized having something taken away until it is clean can help the child be motivated to keep clean

9. No patience

9.1. Positive: A student should stay calm and wait their turn

9.1.1. A patient student should raise their hand and wait their turn in line

9.2. Negative: Some students may be more fidgety than others which can sometime result in them to act out

9.2.1. When a student doesn't have patience they can sometime do things like interrupt the class when the teacher or another student is talking. As a teacher I would sometimes ignore it so that maybe they would stop or if it is consistent I would talk to them or I could give them a fidget toy so that they are not so antsy

10. Not prepared to learn

10.1. Postive: Students should always come to class prepared to learn

10.1.1. When coming to class prepared to learn means ready to work hard and listen

10.2. Negative: A student who is not prepared to learn when coming to class will be someone who is not working or listening

10.2.1. when this is the case a result is that I could send the student with an EA or myself and make they are doing their work
