How do we move forward? von Mind Map: How do we move forward?

1. Spiritual, well-being

2. Education

3. Professionally

3.1. Essential workforce

3.2. Income

3.2.1. Short term loans

3.2.1.1. Bank, credit union

3.2.1.2. Crowdfunded

3.2.1.2.1. Perhaps provide priority or special services/products when restrictions are lifted to those that supported you during the crisis

3.2.1.3. Private

3.2.2. Medium: Changing your business model to accommodate crises/downturns

3.2.2.1. Selling gift cards for use when shutdown is lifted

3.2.2.2. Diversify within your current services

3.2.2.2.1. Adjust your current services such that they could be considered an ‘essential workforce’ line of work. For example, I contend that mental/emotional spiritual health of frontline and essential workers is important too, especially while they handle the crisis.

3.2.2.2.2. Team up with other businesses when you lack the infrastructure (for example sharing a food truck)

3.2.2.3. Come up with a completely new and different revenue stream

3.2.2.3.1. Develop a new idea or invention that you’ve been thinking of.

3.2.2.3.2. Provide a service that leverages your expertise, for example, a contractor could provide real estate inspections or work with local government with inspections/plan review

3.2.3. Long term

3.2.3.1. Save better/smarter. This may seem like an obvious one, but we can all benefit from saving smarter. If we work in a non-essential line work, we might consider saving at a higher rate than we did in the past and lower our standard of living even in times of success/abundance in order to ride out the storms.

3.2.3.2. I learned that teachers are actually REQUIRED to save ~20% of their paycheck to cover them when school is not in session (verify). This could be an interesting savings method.
