Present Perfect vs Simple Past

1. Simple past is used for actions that have ended in the past
2. We often use the present perfect to ask about a past action for the first time.
3. We the use the simple past to ask about specific past details.
4. Been/Gone
4.1. We use been to say that somebody has visted a place.
4.2. We use gone to when somebody goes to a place and is still here.
5. We use the present perfect for actions at a time in the nonspecific past
6. I have had three exams already this week.
7. With the present perfect the action is related to the present

8.1. Simple Past:
8.2. Did you eat breakfast this morning?
8.3. I had three exams this week
8.4. Present Perfect:
8.5. Have you eaten breakfast yet this morning?
