5. Background: Sally is a 17 year old girl who has a learning disability. Sally has been going to treatment with an OT in school and out of school every day.

6. Ethical Dilemma: An OT is working with a person with a severe learning disability who wants to go to college, the OT discusses with the client and family that the likelihood of success would be extremely difficult for the client to succeed in college. However, the OT believes the better option for the client would be to work on college readiness skills to demonstrate potential for college level courses. However, the family decides that they want to continue with college planning. Does the OT continue to provide services that they know will likely not help the client?
