1. Mrikula Devi Temple

1.1. Place: Udaipur Roof: Pent roof /Naggar style. Built by: Raja Ajay Varman in 10th or 11th century. Dedicated to Mata Kali.

2.1. Place: Udaipur Roof: Shikhar style (the only Shikhar style in Lahaul) Built by: Dvanjra, Rana of Udaipur with the help of Raja Sahil Varman in 10th century. The ancient name of the temple is ‘Tunda Vihara’. Hindu consider Trilokinath as Lord Shiva and Buddhist as Avalokiteshwar. Most sacred after Kailash Mansarovar.

3. Tabo Monastery

3.1. Place: Spiti Built by: The Great Lotsaba Rinchen Sangpo in 996 AD. The oldest monastery in the world. Also known as Ajanta of Himalayas. Chakhar festival is celebrated here every 4 years.

4. Guru Ghantal Gompa

4.1. Place: Lahaul Built by: Guru Padamsambhav One of 84 Sidhs of Buddhist had performed Tapasaya here. Oldest Gompa of Lahaul. Ghantal fair held every year in June There is also an idol of Brajeshwari Devi in the Gompa.

5. Key Monastery

5.1. Place: Kibber village, Spiti, close to the Spiti River. Biggest monastery of Spiti Valley and a religious training centre for lamas. Founded by Dromtön. Kye monastery has a collection of ancient murals and books, including Buddha images.

6. Sashur Monastery

6.1. Place: Keylong, Lahaul Built-in the 17th century by Lama Deva Gyatsho. This monastery has large Thangka paintings, some of them over fifteen feet, and wall paintings depicting all the 84 siddhas of Buddhism.
