1.1. Possessives: nouns
1.1.1. We add 's to singular nouns to show possession: Example We are going to celebrate a birthday at Carlos's house.
1.1.2. We add 'to plural nouns ending in -s: Example: Those women's blouses.
1.1.3. But we use 's with irregular plural nouns: Example: Men's clothing is very expensive.
1.1.4. We can use a possessive noun phrase instead of a complete one to avoid repeating words: Example:Whose is this coat? It's from my wife. (It is NOT my wife's [coat]).

2.1. We use possessive adjectives:
2.1.1. To show that something belongs to someone: Example:This is our table where we will have dinner.
2.1.2. For relationships and friends. Example: My father is a teacher.
2.1.3. For body parts. Example:I Need to clean my hair.
