The U.S relations in Iran

1. When a secret Iranian nuclear enrichment plant was discovered 2009, The U.S, The European Union, and The UN placed economic sanctions on Iran in an attempt to pressure its leaders to cooperate.

2. In 2015, after negotiations with the U.S, Iran agreed to reduce its nuclear program and to allow inspections of it its nuclear activities. The international community agreed too end economic sanctions on Iran.

3. In 2016, Trump stated that the nuclear deal with Iran was bad for the U.S so he withdrew from the agreement.

4. Iran started its nuclear program again ever since the U.S withdrew from its agreement.

5. The start of the hostile relationships between the U.S and Iran started in 1979 when Iranian students seized U.S embassy and held 52 american prisoners for over an year.

6. The U.S policymakers view Iran as a threat to the security of Israel and Saudi Arabia , two of U.S's allies.

7. In January 3rd 2020, a U.S drone killed General Solomeini. The U.S government thought he was a terrorist so they killed him. This caused anger to Iran. It made tensions worse but it didn't lead to war.
