1.1. children construct their own knowledge based off of their experiences.

1.2. children are instinctively motivated to learn and do not need rewards or encouragement from adults

1.3. children can learn many things without the intervention of adults

2. nature vs nurture

2.1. nature: the maturation of the brain and body; motor skills, crawl, walk, the ability to perceive, learn and act are ell innate.

2.2. nurture: adaption: children need to respond to the demands of the environment, in ways to meet their own goals.
