1. Bob Ewell

1.1. Bob Ewell is the face of poverty and evil in TKAM he is the one who prosecutes Tom Robinson, even though there was no crime. He refuses to see the truth, deluding himself into think that Tom really did do a crime. He threats Mayella to go ahead with the false rape story even thought it was wrong,

2. Mayella

2.1. Mayella goes ahead with the trial even though she knows he didn't do it.

3. Racism

3.1. the main conflict in the story is the underlying racial tensions that comes to the surface in the trial.

4. Scout and Jem

4.1. Scout and Jem are the major characters in the story, the story revolves around the growing up and seeing past the veil of innocence, to see a world with evil mixed in with the good.

5. Atticus

5.1. Atticus makes one of the hardest choices in his life when he agrees to take on a case defending a negro man, when Negros were not excepted. His choice not only impacts him but impacts Jem and Scout who get riducled at school, and must learn to control their emotions.
