1. Nawabs loose their power
1.1. Since the mid 18th century the nawabs and rajas has seen their power erode. They lost their authority and power.
1.2. In 1801, a subsidiary alliance was imposed on awadh. The company began to plan to bring an end to the Mughal dynasty.

2.1. The British believed that India society had to be reformed.

4.1. The policies of the east india company affected different people like king , queens, peasants , landlord, tribals and soldier in different ways.

5.1. In the countryside peasants and zamindars resented the high taxes and the rigid methods of revenue collection.
5.2. The Indian sepoys and the employment of the company were unhappy about their pay, allowances and conditions of service.
