2. Outcome 1: The learner will be able to select a race and class for their Dungeons & Dragons character.

2.1. Objective 1a: The learner will able to select from various races such as: human, dwarf, halfling, elf, half-elf, dragonborn, tiefling, and half-orc. This is limited to the 5th edition (5e) Player's Handbook additional races have been published since in supplemental materials.

2.1.1. User will be presented an image and description of each race. Full details for each race will be available in published material.

2.1.2. Learner will select and confirm which race best fits their ideal character and will be asked to fill in appropriate race related sections of character sheet handout.

2.1.3. Is this correct? Learner will be given an example of a character race and asked if an attribute matches the race.

2.2. Objective 1b: The learner will be able select from classes such as: barbarian, bard, cleric, druid, fighter, monk, paladin, ranger, rogue, sorcerer, warlock, wizard. This is limited to the 5th edition (5e) Player's Handbook additional races have been published since in supplemental materials.

2.2.1. User will be presented imaged and description of each class. Full details for each class will be available in published material.

2.2.2. Learner will select and confirm which class best fits their ideal character and will be asked to fill in appropriate class related sections of character sheet handout.

2.2.3. Learner is presented a scenario: Sara wishes to play a sneaky character. "Which class best fits Sara's play style?" Learner will be presented with multiple classes and must drag and drop the correct class into the answer box. Incorrect answers will give a reason why the class is not the optimal choice. Correct answers will congratulate the learner and advance the session.

2.3. Objective 1c: The learner will be able to select class features. Each class has different feature and some are determined in phase 1 and other's later on.

2.3.1. At this stage a character is require to select class features. The features for the class the learner choose in the previous step will be presented.

2.3.2. Learner will select features appropriate for their desired play style.

2.4. Outcome assessment:

2.4.1. Learner will be presented multiple choice questions focusing on Sara's completed Race and Class choices from the previous scenario.

3. Outcome 2: The learner will be able to create a background for their character.

3.1. Objective 2a: The learner will create a alignment for their character.

3.1.1. The learner will be presented different alignments and given details on each and when it is appropriate to choose which alignment.

3.1.2. The learner will be presented each alignments to choose from and select which best fits their character.

3.1.3. Different scenarios will be presented to the user. The user will use a drop down menu to select the alignment that would best fit each scenario.

3.2. Objective 2b: The learner will create a background and name for their character.

3.2.1. There are many types of backgrounds to review in which the user will be presented. Details include options such as proficiencies, languages, and lifestyle.

3.2.2. The learner will have a chance to explore different backgrounds and select background features as described in the content.

3.3. Objective 2c: After selecting background, the learner will have options from their background to determine what starting equipment their characters have.

3.3.1. In addition, the backgrounds will also give starting equipment. Characters can pick the equipment associated with their previously chosen class and background.

3.3.2. Learners will be given options via a drop down to select equipment

3.4. Outcome assessment:

3.4.1. Using drag and drop: Learner will match the primary categories of Alignment, Background, and Equipment options to an example character options.

4. Outcome 3: The learner will be able to assign ability scores; then decide on abilities and spells for their character.

4.1. Objective 3a: The learner will assign ability scores and modifiers.

4.1.1. Descriptions of each ability will be given with examples of how they will be used in game.

4.1.2. The learners will roll four 6-sided dice and add up the three highest numbers. The learner will record this number on scrap paper. Next the learner, will repeat these steps 5 more times. Assign the scores to the strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. Then consult the table (provided material) for modifiers.

4.1.3. The learner will determine which skills are best for the Elf Rogue from earlier by matching scores to ability.

4.2. Objective 3b: The learner will decide on skills for their character.

4.2.1. Skills related to ability scores will be described with scenarios of in game use. Content includes how to assign skills points including proficiencies previously acquired in the training.

4.2.2. Learner will combine previous knowledge and new information to determine the correct bonus for each skill.

4.2.3. The player would be given a scenario that they may see in a dungeon or encounter. Using multiple choice the player would determine what ability to use.

4.3. Objective 3c: The learner will decide on spells for their character.

4.3.1. Optional: For learners who have chosen spellcasting class. Detailed content on selecting spells from a list will be given.

4.3.2. Activity: The learner would be placed in a scenario in which they are faced with foe. The learner must determine what spell/action should be used against the foe from give choices.

4.3.3. A scenario will be given about Mark's spellcaster. User will answer multiple choice questions to aid Mark in picking the correct spells.

4.4. Outcome assessment:

4.4.1. Part 1: A skill challenge will be presented to the learner using skills and ability scores. Learner must select the correct skill for each situation.

4.4.2. Part 2: A combat challenge will be presented. Learner must selected the correct Ability score to use when attacking a creature.

4.4.3. Part 3: A spell challenge will be issued with a desired outcome. Learner will be given a list of spells to choose from to demonstrate that results may vary.

5. Goal Assessment

5.1. Part 1: Using fill in the blank, learners will create a character profile from a given template. Selecting the correct answers from the word bank will show competence in creating a character race, class, background and alignment.

5.2. Part 2: Using scenarios including their character, learner will be given a randomized skill and combat challenges to show their ability in using the character for their first Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition campaign.
