9. "Technology is messy and complex. It is difficult to define and to understand. In its variety, it is full of contradictions"(Hughes: 2004: 1).

26. In other words, technology has to create things that benefit human beings. Miles (1995) defines technology as the means by which we apply our understanding of the natural world to the solution of practical problems.(Richard,2007).
