1. Playing GTA for the very first time at my aunt's house!

1.1. Episodic memory

1.2. I was taught how to play GTA by my cousin. I remember being scared to play certain missions and having my cousin do them for me as I watched. Over timed I was more entertained by the game and was gifted my own gaming system to play it. Still today, I play GTA every now and then. I'm able to memorize the outcome of some missions from watching my cousin play along with others. I would say this experience involves semantic processing because I had to remember what buttons on the controller did what and how to accomplish each mission.

2. Being the driver for my family's 3+ hour road trip and it being my first time on the interstate.

2.1. Episodic Memory

2.2. I remember this experience well because this was also when I received my first speeding ticket! I believe because of that is why I remember this memory so well. My mood during this experience went from excited to be on the road with my family, to nervous after being pulled over. This memory can be remembered when I'm on any road trip, especially a road trip to Orlando. Sematic processing isn't necessarily used with the memory.

3. Seeing different Amazon finds on tiktok (clothing, house appliances, etc. that people find on amazon)

3.1. Short-term Memory

3.2. I've seen many tiktoks where people showcase their favorite items from Amazon. Initially perceiving this information, I sometimes end up saving them to be able to go back to them. A few scrolls later, the video is forgotten unless I go into my saved tiktoks and find the video! This memory doesn't involve semantic processing because I'm not recalling any information.

4. The first time I met my mother's half siblings, along with their children.

4.1. Autobiographical Memory

4.2. This memory consists of me knowing how I'm related to my uncles, aunt, and cousins. I'm able to remember their names, birthdates, and other factual details. This would require effortful processing to remember all of that information.

5. Taking my drivers exam and being extremely nervous.

5.1. Episodic Memory

5.2. Since this would be considered a milestone of my life, I remember how I felt in this moment. I was very nervous while taking my drivers test! This memory can be retrieved when I'm passing by the DMV or when I see others completing their drivers exam. One particular part during this test that had me completely overwhelmed was parallel parking. Along with whenever I have to parrel park, being in that similar state of consciousness helps me remember as well. This memory doesn't necessarily require semantic processing to remember.

6. My close friend teaching me how to swim!

6.1. Procedural Memory

6.2. This memory consists of me learning how to do a procedure such as swimming. Whenever I go for a swim (State-dependent), whether it's recent or after a while, I'm able to recall how to swim (Semantic processing).
