1. Technology in nursing ! (My area of education)
1.1. Healthcare had undoubtdley changed because of technology. It was because of technology that we have such amazing advancements in pharmacuticals, testing, treatments, devices, surgeys and more.
1.2. Ex. Pharmacuticals - chemotherapy - pain medication - mood enhancements - antibiotics
1.3. Ex. Testing - xray - CAT scans - echo cardiograms - blood testing
1.4. Ex. Treatments - automatic and electronic iv pumps - suctioning - oxygen - vital sign machines - defibulators - pace makers - heart stints and valves
1.5. Ex. Acessibility - electronic mobilty devices - virtural appoitments - prosetic devices
2. How i personally defined technology
2.1. Physical and digital advancements and creations that keeps EVOLVING impacting humans and the way we live our lives.
2.1.1. Moving forward with the knowledge ive learned I challange myself to look deeper, think about the processes things (items, systems ect..) have gone through and what can be done in the future for improvement and cfuture creation.
2.1.1.1. My thoughts on technology now ?
2.1.1.1.1. Technology is everywhere. Daily we use technology to create, live, work, function, eat, sleep and communicate. Everything you touch , your phone, pen, water bottle, toothbrush, door, car, and more is included as technology. It is the evolving creations, products and thoughts that are forever influencing us. Technology is technology, its everywhere at everymoment, look around.

4. Things ive learned
4.1. We as humans have totally evolved BECAUSE of and alongside technology
4.1.1. Karatsu in 1990, made a point that technology has helped to fufil our needs and support humans to preform functions and tasks since ancient times (Friis et al., 2009).
4.1.1.1. Ex. - using fire - creation of a compass - creation of tools/ wepons used for hunting or harvesting of food
4.1.1.1.1. We are living enhanced products of/by technology
4.2. Technology can range from Simple --> Complex ( ex. toothbrush --> computer systems)
4.2.1. Technology includes more than machines, processes and inventions. Whereas, traditionally it might refer to hardware, these days it also refers to the “soft side” as well. In fact, there are many manifestations of technology: some are very simple while others are very complex (Lu-Hua, 2007).
4.2.1.1. Simple Technology examples i can think of that i use daily .. - forks, knives, spoons - squeeze bottle of lotion - toothbrush - backpack
4.2.1.1.1. Complex technology examples that i use daily.. - internet - laptop - cell phone - vehicle - stove / toaster / microwave
4.3. There is no one definition of technology.
4.3.1. "Technology is anything useful invented by the human mind" (Kelly , 2010).
4.3.1.1. Alan Kay a computer scientist simply described technology by stating "it is anything that wasnt around when you were born" (Greenlish, 2013).
4.3.1.2. I agree with this breif statement that got me thinking of the evoloution of technology and the impact it has had on lives. Growing up i have seen massive improvements and changes, all things that are being created and developed as the time of life passes us by.
4.3.2. Every moment my life is being influenced by technology. For convenience, pleasure, enjoyment, to eat, communicate, and even shower. Tecnology is everywhere , how can we catagorize it all.
