1. Team Motivation

1.1. No matter how much a person knows about a topic or how good they are at something it’s unlikely that they’ll achieve to their highest ability of they are not motivated. When people are motivated, they will have a positive outlook, they're excited about what they're doing, and they know that they're investing their time in something that's truly worthwhile. It’s vital that team/project managers keep their team members motivated and inspired as this will lead to high performance and high-quality work being completed. There are two types of motivation, extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation. Extrinsic is when external rewards are offered like pay rises, time off, bonuses or the threat of job loss. Intrinsic motivation is internal motivation where a person wants to overcome something, produce work or interact with team members that they like or trust to get satisfaction or enjoyment from doing what they’re doing.

2. Delegation Of Roles

2.1. Delegation of roles within a team is extremely important. These roles need to align with each persons individual strengths, for example like how independent of a worker they are, this way the project can get the best results possible. It is also important that work is delegated evenly, stopping large workloads from toppling certain people in the team from being able to finish a specific task. It is vital that you consider what each person wants out of their work, like their long term goals.

3. Trust

3.1. Without trust, there really isn't a team. Trust is so important, even more when working in a team because you all rely on each to get the work done. Without trust it can lead to a lack of innovation, creative thinking and productivity [1]. So, when trust is put in place, the team gets stronger. Building trust will take time especially when you get put into a group with new faces.

3.1.1. There are many different exercises you can do as a team to help build trust. Some examples are:

3.1.2. Get to know each other personally - Spend time with each other by going out on social nights or plan days out as a team.

3.1.2.1. Get Everyone Involved - Sometimes, small groups can build up inside a team and this can lead to people feeling like they're being isolated. This is can lead to a lack of trust and morale.

3.1.2.1.1. Discussing Issues - Such a simple thing but just speak on it. If something is going wrong or there is an issue arising, addressing the issue straight away in an proper way can save a lot of hassle.

4. Leadership Skills

4.1. Leadership skills are incredibly important when working as a team. A leader can be very important due to multiple different reasons and one of them is that they are able to bring out the best of their team members ability and also they can motivate them to achieve their goal. [1] In addition to this, a team leader can help the other team members to stay on track and also keep things organized. Moreover, a leader of the team can be the person that everyone goes to if they are experiencing any issues or any difficulties during their tasks. Without a team leader, there can be a few things that may not go to plan. One of these things is time management and this would be very difficult without a team leader as the team members may not understand how important it is to keep the work on time. This can cause many issues such as rushing to complete the project on the last due that its due by or even completely missing the due date due to some of the team members not finishing their part of the work
