1. Materials

1.1. -Mixture of sugar, sand and water

1.2. -Tripod Stand

1.3. -Bunsen Burner

1.4. -Aluminium Foil

1.5. -Damp Cloth

2. Process

2.1. Step 1: Make two containers from aluminium foil.

2.2. Step 2: After lighting the bunsen burner, position it under the tripod stand.

2.3. Step 3: Place the container made from aluminium foil some distance away from the bunsen burner (far enough not to receive the heat from the bunsen burner, but close enough to place some aluminium foil in the middle on top for condensation to occur and the cool water to drip into the container)

2.4. Step 4: Collect the water from the container made from aluminium foil. The sand and water is now separated.

2.5. Step 2: Place the damp cloth over an aluminium container and pour the mixture over it to filter the mixture.
