1. -Typefaces is family of graphic characters,often many type size and style such as Bookman Old Style  -Font is collection of character of single size and style belonging to a particular typeface family such as Arial 18 point Bold

2. -Font style  :Italic,Outlining and Boldface -Font terminology :baseline-the line on which bases of character are arranged :cap height-refers to the height of a capital letter  :x-height-the distance between the baseline and the top of a lower-case letter x :kerning*adjustment of space between certain pairs of letter :tracking*adjustment of space for group of letters -serif: little decoration at the end of a letter stroke -sans serif:do not decoration at the end of a letter stroke -cases:capitalized letter is refer to as uppercase,while small letter is refer to as lowercase.

3. The text elements used in multimedia: -menus for navigation :simple menu consist of a text list of topic -interactive buttons :executes a command when activated create their own button from bitmap -symbol and icon :used to convey meaningful messages :icons are symbolic representations of object and processes -Fields for reading :can be printed in one of two orientations: portrait(taller-than-wide)and  landscape(wider-than-tall) -HTML documents :create web pages and marked using tags

Computer text -bitmap  :bitmap consist a matrix of dot or pixels represent the image  :file size increase as more size are added :require a lot memory :non-scalable -vector :use instruction and mathematical formulate to describe each glyph :file size is much smaller than bitmap :Truetype and Opentype

5. Character sets -numerical representation of a character -unique 7-bit binary code word meaning that are 128(2^7) Unicode -16bit architecture for multilingual text and character encoding

6. Font mapping -may not be available in other user machine -used for substitution Hypertext -contains link to other text -subset of hypermedia Hypermedia -not constrained to be text-based -include other media such as graphics and images

7. Hypermedia Structure -Links :connections between conceptual elements :navigation pathways and menus -Nodes :accessible topics, document and content element :links form the backbone of a knowledge access system -Anchor :reference from one document to another document,image,sound on the web
