6.3.6. 23.Die Kommission besteht aus der Studiengangsleitung, dem/der ErstbetreuerIn sowie einem/einer von der Studiengangsleitung nominierte/n LektorIn, dessen/deren Expertise zum Diplomarbeitsthema vorliegt. Der/die Erstbetreuerin sowie der/die nominierte LektorIn verfassen voneinander unabhängige Gutachten (siehe Anhang). Bei stark divergierenden Gutachten entscheidet die Studiengangsleitung über die Note. Liegt zum letzten Abgabetermin keine positiv approbierbare Arbeit vor oder wurde die eingereichte Arbeit negativ beurteilt, kann eine Jahreswiederholung bei der Studiengangsleitung beantragt werden. Dieser Antrag muss innerhalb von 2 Wochen nach Bekanntgabe der endgültigen Beurteilung gestellt werden.
6.3.6.1. 23.This board is nominated by the programme director, and usually consists of the supervisor of the thesis, the subject coordinator in charge (or any of the full-time or part-time lecturers of this field), and the programme director. The supervisor and the subject coordinator have to draft an independent assessment (for the form see appendix). Should the assessments differ significantly from each other, and the board does not reach a unanimous decision on a pass, the student can petition for leave of absence. This petition must be handed in within two weeks after the final grade has been communicated to the student.
6.3.7. 25.The supervisor must grade the diploma thesis within 3 weeks, and must draft a written assessment (using the assessment form, see below). This assessment is also communicated to the course coordinator, and then to the programme director, who after inspection (perhaps also by the lecturer in charge of the diploma thesis) passes the assessment on to the student.

7.2. Assessment of the contents of the thesis
7.2.1. The introduction does not present the relevance of the research question and does not explain the research question. Thus the reader is struggling in understanding the structure and the literature choices in the next chapter.
7.2.1.1. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the crucial factors influencing a supportive learning environment at higher educational institutions, in this case the University of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna explicitly, and how an institution can support international students. With regard to the adjustment of international students the research question should be answered in terms of how the individual perceives their degree of adjustment in a university context. The major aim of the dissertation on hand is to be used by the team of the University of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna as a supportive tool or proposal for further implications for improving the international master course and, consequently, raise the awareness, as the qualitative and environmental offered content gets optimised and makes the English taught programme even more relevant on the post-gradual range of studies in Austria and even across borders.

The general thought of the research problem is very good – Internationalization is currently being discussed more with regard to qualitative criteria – e.g. learning environment than with regard to quantitiative criteria (number of outgoings/incomings) Unfortunately there is no synthesis of the literature and thus also no critical revision of the literature. Literature on international students focuses on several different cultures – there is no critical discussion with regard to transfer of this knowledge to the Austrian context, which is specific to the thesis.
