1. What is a computer?

1.1. One of the definitions according to the Infotech 4th edition book is that a computer is an electronic machine which can accept data in a certain form, process the data, and give the results of the processing in a specified format as information. (Remacha Esteras)

2. Software

2.1. Software is what you cannot touch of a computer, a set of instructions, programs that tell a computer what to do.

3. Storage Devices

3.1. A computer storage device is any type of hardware that stores data. The most common type of storage device, which nearly all computers have, is a hard drive.

4. Input Devices

4.1. An input device is any device that provides input to a computer. There are dozens of possible input devices, but the two most common ones are a keyboard and mouse.

5. Hardware

5.1. Hardware is what you can touch of a computer either mechanical parts or electronic parts.

5.2. Central Processing Unit

5.2.1. The most important part of a computer due to is the one in charge of executing instructions of programs and coordinate the different tasks of the rest of the units.

5.3. Main Memory

5.3.1. The basic function of computer memory is essentially to store data. Depending on the type of data it stores and the role it plays in computer operation, however, memory performs several different functions

5.4. Peripherals

5.4.1. The physical units attached to a computer, they are divided by storage devices and input/output devices.

6. Output Devices

6.1. Since most information from a computer is output in either a visual or auditory format, the most common output devices are the monitor and speakers
