1. Bull Mouse Party
1.1. Roosevelt unlikely to win the Republican nomination for President in 1912, Roosevelt decided to join the Progressive party.
1.2. This party became widely know as the Bull Moose party after Roosevelt told reporter, he was as fit as a "Bull Mouse."
1.3. Even though he lost, Roosevelt became the most successful third party candidate ever, and changed their role in the election process.
2. Early Life
2.1. Roosevelt was born on October 27th, 1858 in New York.
2.2. Roosevelt's first taste of politics was in the New York State Assembly.
2.3. Roosevelt would volunteer to serve in Cuba during the Spanish American War. He was nominated and later received the Medal of Honor for his services.

3. 26th President
3.1. After the assignation of President McKinley Roosevelt became President in 1901.
3.2. Roosevelt's aggressive use of the previously established Sherman Anti-Trust laws earned him the nick name of the "Trust Buster.
3.3. Roosevelt actively sought to protect the United State's sphere of influence, and actively deterred European involvement in South America.
