1. History of Soil
1.1. Developed by a German chemist, Justus von Liebig (1803–1873),
1.2. They described soil as disintegrated rock of various sorts—granite, sandstone, glacial till, and the like
1.3. Geologic processes shaped it into landforms such as glacial moraines, alluvial plains, loess plains, and marine terraces.
2. Type of Soil
2.1. Clay
2.1.1. Clay soils are heavy, high in nutrients, wet and cold in winter and baked dry in summer.
2.2. Sand
2.2.1. Sandy soils are light, dry, warm, low in nutrients and often acidic
2.3. Silt
2.3.1. Silt soils are fertile, light but moisture-retentive, and easily compacted.
2.4. Weathered rock
2.4.1. When the rock get smaller. This can't happen all at once,it has to do it gradually
