1. Mesopotamia

1.1. Religion

1.1.1. Sumeria Was the first civilization in Mesopotamia.

1.1.2. Mesopotamia developed around 4000 BCE.

1.1.3. Sumerians relied on annual floods.

1.2. Geography

1.2.1. The Sumerian kingdom was made up of CITY-STATES.

1.2.2. Each had its own government army’s and kings.

1.2.3. Goods like wool and wheat were bartered for timber and imported goods.

1.3.2. The Sumerians were a polytheistic.

1.3.3. They built and dedicated ziggurat to the chief god or goddess of a city.

1.4.3. Eventually leading to the downfall of Mesopotamia’s first civilization.

4.1. Religion

4.1.1. Polytheism

4.1.2. pharaohs worshiped as gods.

4.1.3. The Egyptians had hundreds of gods,including many female gods.

4.1.4. Pharaohs had so much power they were considered gods.

4.2. Economy

4.2.1. Most Egyptians were farmers

4.2.2. Really rich because they traded lots of materials

4.2.3. The Nile's annual flooding deposited rich, dark soil on the riverbanks.

4.2.4. Once he finally took power, Egypt entered the era op the NEW KINGDOM

4.2.5. During the annual flooding of the Nile, framers could not work in the fields

5. Bantu

5.2. Geography

5.2.1. For 2000 years,large numbers of Bantu-speaking people from west Africa moved slowly toward the south and east of the continent.

5.3. Social Structure
