1.1. Classroom evaluations are digital and feedback is immediate with an PDF of the feedback from the administrator, and department head. Although I like the idea of a digital meeting to review the lesson plan, if we are in the building I would prefer meeting with the teacher in person. If our schedules don't match up, and a google hangout is the only option I would do that, but would prefer the in person meeting. I do think a recorded video presenting feedback would be a nice touch instead of an in person meeting.
2. File Management
2.1. Google Drive is used by a majority of our staff members. In efforts to make the full transition to google drive, administration will implement resources to google drive in the staff folder. The current track is memos in your mailbox which can often get lost or misplaced. By uploading the memo to google drive, each staff member has a digital copy that they can access on their phones or desktops. Since digital file management isn't widely used, we would slowly implement this type of style and work up the SAMR Model Ladder.
3. Staff Input
3.1. This area is the strongest area of the SAMR Model at our school. We use google docs to collaborate, especially during distance learning. Google Forms are used for feedback and staff, student, and parents surveys. The Remind App is used for faculty and staff. Most teachers have a remind set up for their classes as well. I would continue to use this track for staff input.
4. Presentation to Staff
4.1. Faculty meetings where a lot of new information is going to be presented would benefit from the SAMR model. Faculty meetings that present information about accreditation, or implementation of a new curriculum program needs to engage the staff. The solution to that would be a Nearpod presentation. This also shows faculty a new way to present information to their students as well.
5. Community Outreach
5.1. During their Junior year of High School, students complete a 10 day job shadowing experience of their choosing. Since there is uncertainty for next school year, google hangout and google meets would be a great way for students to interact with partners in our program. Instead of going into a hospital to shadow a nurse, the student could interview the nurse and ask questions. If students are interested in business, they could join a WebEx or Zoom call with the partner's company. Students are still experiencing a form of career shadowing, but not necessarily going into the office for 10 days. This model could also be used to offer virtual meetings with our partners throughout the school year, and would be offered to students in grades 9-12.
