1. Identification

3. Qualifying Worker

3.1. An individual who is either a Migratory Agriculture Worker or Migratory Fisher

4.1. To make contact with migratory families, explaining the MEP, securing the necessary information to make a determination that the child is eligible for the MEP, and recording the basis of the child’s eligibility on a COE.

6.1. The child must have moved as the Migratory Qualifying Worker, or with or to join a parent/guardian/spouse who is the Migratory Qualifying Worker. The child does not establish eligibility as a migratory child until he or she physically arrives in the receiving school district.

7.1. A form that requires data elements and required data sections necessary for documenting a child’s eligibility for the MEP.

8. Economic Necessity

8.1. When the child and the worker (if the child is not the worker) moved because they could not afford to stay in the current location due to financial need. Economic necessity is integral to a move that makes a child a “migratory” child
