Energy Charges par Mind Map: Energy Charges

1. Renewable Energy

1.1. Solar Energy

1.1.1. Light

1.1.1.1. Photovoltaic

1.1.2. Heat

1.1.2.1. Concentrated Solar Power

1.1.2.2. Passive

1.1.3. This source is easily used to prevent pollution however can be quite expensive to install means necessary

1.1.4. Advantages

1.1.4.1. -Does not hurt the Environment

1.1.4.2. -Produces a lot of renewable energy

1.1.5. Disadvantages

1.1.5.1. -Sustainable income needed

1.1.5.2. -The Solar panels can get damaged easily by the environment.

1.2. Wind Energy

1.2.1. This source is much more expensive than solar energy and takes a lot more time to store up energy that can be used

1.2.2. Advantages

1.2.2.1. -Renewable energy

1.2.2.2. -Does not harm the Climate

1.2.3. Disadvantages

1.2.3.1. -A lot of money needs to be invested

1.2.3.2. -It takes a lot of time for the energy to store up

1.3. Geothermal Energy

1.3.1. Dry Steam

1.3.2. Flash Steam

1.3.3. Geothermal energy can be used to heat up building or cool them down making it a good source of energy to use over Coal or natural gases/nuclear energy and it is always available to you and it does not cost very much compared to solar and wind energy.

1.3.4. Advantages

1.3.4.1. -Can be accessed all year long

1.3.4.2. -Does not harm Climate

1.3.5. Disadvantages

1.3.5.1. -Cost Money

1.3.5.2. -Not everyone knows how to setup geothermal energy

1.4. Biomass

1.4.1. Decaying material

1.4.2. Biomass energy can be useful and is very easy to get however it depletes trees and wood which is a resource we may not wanna resort too unless needed however this does make it free.

1.4.3. Burned directly

1.4.4. Processed into oils

1.4.5. Advantages

1.4.5.1. -Sustainable renewable energy

1.4.5.2. -Uses other renewable resources to create energy

1.4.6. Disadvantages

1.4.6.1. -Sometimes plants do not grow properly and the right Soil/land is needed

1.4.6.2. -Cannot do this unless you have a good income

1.5. Water

1.5.1. Hydro Electric Energy

1.5.2. Tide

1.5.3. Wave

1.5.4. Water energy like hydro electric energy is very reusable and easily accessible to almost anyone which makes it a very good renewable source of energy and very viable to us to use without polluting the environment.

1.5.5. Advantages

1.5.5.1. -Uses water the number one renewable resource

1.5.5.2. -Easily charges enough power that can be used without hurting or harming the Climate

1.5.6. Disadvantages

1.5.6.1. -Cannot always be used due to weather and animals getting caught in the system used.

1.5.6.2. -A giant Dam is required or giant factory type of building. meaning more money is required for this.

2. Non-Renewables

2.1. Fossil Fuels

2.1.1. Coal

2.1.2. Natural Gas

2.1.3. Oil

2.1.4. Fossil Fuels consist of Coal , Oil , and Natural gases which are pretty easy to get and can technically be gotten for free however they are limited in supply and inflict harm to the environment.

2.1.5. Advantages

2.1.5.1. -Very cheap source of energy

2.1.5.2. -Can be found and make into energy easily

2.1.6. Disadvantages

2.1.6.1. -Not a renewable resource

2.1.6.2. -Can harm the Climate very badly

2.2. Nuclear Energy

2.2.1. Fission

2.2.2. Fusion

2.2.3. Nuclear energy is easily accessible once a Nuclear power plant is built/made however if something goes wrong with the Power plant than it could cause catastrophic damage to the environment and the wildlife around the power plant.

2.2.4. Advantages

2.2.4.1. -Provides very good energy which sustains a lot of buildings/electric outlets.

2.2.4.2. -One of the most low carbon energy sources.

2.2.5. Disadvantages

2.2.5.1. -Very bad for the climate especially if something goes wrong with the power plant.

2.2.5.2. -Does not help the climate and is not very cheap to operate either.
