1.1. what are the consequenses of migration

1.1.1. A multicultural society is created

1.1.3. Labour migrants usually do work that would otherwise not be done

1.1.3.1. the migrants costs money and as long as the are not recognised they aren't allowed to work

1.1.4.1. first it was supported due to increasing unemployement but it changed due to too many people wanting to migrate

1.1.5. the rules on family reunification became stricter

1.1.5.1. chain migration declined and the more unregsterd mirgrants increased. this was due to the changng attitude of the government

1.1.6. There are many discussions about how many migrants the Netherlands can take in

1.1.6.1. This is due to some poloticians thinking we should have less and some think we should have more. There are also poloticians that think that we have enough

2.1.1. Migrants from former colonies

2.1.1.1. after being decolonised some people still went to the colonising country

2.1.2. Guest workers from the Mediterranean countries

2.1.2.1. people doing low paying jobs and the 1st and 2n generation were born in that country

2.1.3. Refugees

2.1.3.1. they flee from war areas or other areas where they cant live

2.1.4. Labour migrants from eastern Europe

2.1.4.1. people trying to find better work in the migration country than the origen country

2.1.5. Knowledge workers

2.1.5.1. highly skilled workers from the EU migrate and go mostly to neighbouring countries
