1. Visual
1.1. Visual learners are better able to retain information when it’s presented to them in a graphic depiction, such as arrows, charts, diagrams, symbols, and more.
1.2. Strategies
1.2.1. -Flashcards. Visual learners of all ages and levels learn better with flashcards. -Comics and Cartoons. Take a comic strip and white out the speech bubbles. -Word Puzzles. -Draw – Pictionary. -Whiteboard Games. -Graphic Organizers. -Video. -Multimedia.
2. Auditory
2.1. Sometimes referred to as “aural” learners, auditory learners prefer listening to information that is presented to them vocally. These learners work well in group settings where vocal collaboration is present and may enjoy reading aloud to themselves, too.
2.2. Strategies
2.2.1. -Play background music. -Ask for verbal direction. -Participate in group discussions. -Record meetings. -Talk through problems.
3. Reading and Writing
3.1. Focusing on the written word, reading and writing learners succeed with written information on worksheets, presentations, and other text-heavy resources. These learners are note-takers and perform strongly when they can reference written text.

4. Kinesthetic
4.1. Taking a physically active role, kinesthetic learners are hands-on and thrive when engaging all of their senses during course work. These learners tend to work well in scientific studies due to the hands-on lab component of the course.
4.2. Strategies
4.2.1. -Using gestures to represent key vocabulary words. -Making puppets and presenting puppet shows. -Designing graphics and creating artwork to represent story concepts. -Playing charades.
