1. USE

1.1. the comparatives we used when we compare two things and we use THAN

1.1.1. short adjectives: add "-er"

2.1.1.2. if the adjective ends in -e, just add -st

2.1.1.2.1. Wider (correct) not wideer (incorrect)

2.1.1.3. if the adjective ends in -y, change the y to i and next we add the -est

2.1.1.3.1. My granddaughter is the prettiest.

2.1.1.4. If the adjective ends in a consonant, the last consonant is doubled before adding the suffix “-est”.

2.1.3. With some 2-syllable adjectives, we can use "-est" OR "most": for example
