Tyler The Creator - Love in Hip Hop par Mind Map: Tyler The Creator - Love in Hip Hop

1. Old Tyler - Pre Flower Boy

1.1. Used to be a very edgy, hateful rapper. Known for his comedic side from Odd Future, some early lyricism with no real central themes. There are hints of thematic songs which would be prevalent in his future music, but most of his songs are very edgy, with many slurs and angry lyrics, which is heavily contrasted with who he is now as he is bisexual.

2. Flower Boy

2.1. First personal song with focus on lyricism and themes of Tyler's sexuality. Feelings of loneliness and worries about how those close to him will feel about his sexuality, and how bored he is without annyone to love. Songs: 911/Mr. Lonely, Garden Shed, Boredom

2.1.1. Breaking away from his old persona, realizing his love for music and wanting to make an identity for himself. "For Cherry Bomb I purposely was like, I don't want to get personal at all. Like, I'm just going to make songs. And in this one I was like alright, let me write down every feeling".

3.1. The full evolution of who Tyler is as an artist today. Readings talk about hip hop's prevalent pimp culture, disreguard for women and little ties to love based songwriting like in Prophets of the Hood, yet Tyler is an artist who actively works hard to push beyond this mindset while staying true to himself and integrating aspects of hip hop that are prevalent to its identity as a musical artform.

3.1.1. Igor - Moving on yet still being attached to someone
