2. A scanner is an example of a input device. Benefits include converting hardcopy to digital, cost and take up little space. Challenges include set-up of the scanner and they can be easily damaged or dropped.

3. An output device is any device used to send data from a computer to another device or user.

4. Example of output devices include digital cameras and monitors. Benefits include cost, cameras are easy to handle, cameras can be used to showcase students work. Challenges include being able to use the camera, and some digital camera are expensive. Application that can be used is creating a power point.
