1. Hinduism

1.1. For Hindus death is not a beginning or an end it's the start of a long cycle known as reincarnation. Reincarnation is where after somesone dies their sole leaves their bodies and based on your karma (The affect of thoughts and actions good or bad) to decide where you end up in your new life. Then they reach Moaksha which is the end of the long cycle and you end up in a state of total happieness

1.2. They beleive everything is a pat of Brahman and so it isn't as complicated they break it up into different parts

1.3. They think that teples are sacred because they thought it was the home to ancient gods. So they wash their feet before going into the temple and before religiouse ceremonies they put markings on their face. They walked in a path around the shrine in the temples for respectful reasons

1.4. Aum is used while worshiping shrines because they believe that it was the first sound and then everything on Earth was created.

1.5. Vedas was the religious book that people memorized and then was taught the religion of hinduism.

1.6. They believe that you should do your duties but not for your own selfish reasons but for the needs of others.

1.7. The most widely spreaded holiday is divali- holiday of lights- celebrated for many days and Holi is the holiday that marks the start of sring.

1.8. Nature is an important part of the hindu belief. Cows are sacred so they dont eat beef. The Ganges river is also sacred. If possible everyone should go there and bathe in the river at least once in their life.

2. Judiasm

2.1. Abrham is the fore-father of the Jewish people

2.2. First major nonpolythiestic religion

2.3. Christians used to believe Jews were a threat

2.4. Adolf Hitler set up concentration camps to kill Jews. by the end of world war ll every 2 out of 3 jews were killed (6,000 jews) This was called the holicost and it was the hardest time for jews

2.5. Many Jews think it is important to learn hebrew so they can read the religious books as they were first written

2.6. A synogog is a place for worship for Jews it's a place of study, to learn hebrew, a place for assembly, and a place of prayers prays are chanted, said, or sung.

2.8. Orthodock Jews, Reform Jews, and conservitive Jews are the three main branches of Judiasm.

2.9. The passover is the time in history when Jews were freed from slavery

3. Islam

3.1. They believed in only one god named alan

3.2. Believes their life now determained their after life- if they lived a good life then they would be rewared but if they led a bad life they would be punished but they could ask for gods forgiveness

3.3. The five pillars were their mortal code of conduct. The five pillars are 1: shahandah- They believe in no god but alan 2: Salah- the daily prayer 3: Zakah- the money Muslums must pay to the poor 4:Sawn- The time they go without eating or drinking until dawn 5:Haji- Trip they must make to mecca.

3.4. They believe that every one - weak or poor is equal in the eyes of god.

3.5. When the babies are born the first word they should hear is "Alan" the name of their god.

3.6. They read the Kuran to know how god wants them to live

3.7. The way they pray is unique- the men and women pray in different rooms

3.8. Ramadan is one of the happiest days of the year

3.9. There are no pictures or statues even of their god because they worship the spirit not a person.

4. Christianity

4.1. Jesus was born in Palisine and was known as the healer when he grew up.

4.2. Trintity is the belief that god is made up of three thing, God the father, god the son, and god the holy spirit.

4.3. Some people are baptized when they are just newborns while others are baptised when they are older and they get to choose if they want to be baptised.

4.4. One of the most important christian holiday is christmas. Christamas marks the birth of jesus

4.5. The holiest holiday is Easter. Holy thursday is the last meal that Jesus ate before dying, Friday is when he died, and sunday is when he rose from the dead.

4.6. Comunion is to represent the last meal. The bread is to be told to be Jesus's body and the wine is to be Jesus's blood.

4.7. The Bible is the holy book. The old testiment is the same as the hebrews holy book and then the new testiment is the promise god made to his people.

4.8. Many christins recite the Lords prayer which is what is believed what jesus said to his deciples atb the last supper.

4.9. At the begining of the catholic branch of christianity someone named Martin Luther thought that chatolics were misleading God's word.

4.10. Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins.

5. Buddism

5.1. The budist religion is named after the creator of it- the buddah

5.2. Sid was a prince and he was sheltered so when he grew up he wanted to see the world and relized horrible things like suffering the world really had so he decided to give up everything he had so he traded his clothes and he sat under a tree for seven years without food or water he took the middle path and he realized suffering was created by desires so he gave up wordly desires

5.3. The four nobel truths are 1, suffering is a part of life 2. Suffering comes from desire 3. Ther is an end to suffering 4. The nobel eight fold path.

5.4. They believe the future is based on Karma of present life and past life

5.5. A bode will not become a budist until every living thing is not suffering

5.6. Each time a dalilama dies he is reincarnated into a perfect sole

5.7. Sagna is made up of monks and nuns they can devote their lives to teaching budist beliefs

5.8. Dana are gifts of food, clothes and other goods

5.9. Shrines are in homes and they also go to temples they have status of buddahs and they bow to the buddah for respect.

5.10. Lotus flower symbolises enlightenment
