1. Stakeholders
1.1. The daughter should be a matter of fact woman who seems very sorted and thinks she is right about everything. A woman clearly fond of her mother but talks to her in a very straight and impatient manner ( for example if she has forgotten the name of one of her children she rolls her eyes at her) she is a mother in France to three children, married to a French man and rarely visits her mother at all.
1.2. The old lady herself should be fairly unaware but entirely well intended. She should be in a way that would concern a daughter, maybe one morning she has made herself cry and the daughter see's her in this way. She shouldn't put up much of a fight with the daughter and should be entirely resigned to whatever the daughter says. She's just thrilled that the daughter/someone is there at all.
2. Plot
2.1. We are introduced to an old lady living alone, clearly very lonely, not often visited and talking to herself for company. Though her talking to/ laughing with etc. herself may be considered strange the viewer should not see it this way and it should look sweet and comforting. One day her daughter visits from France and see's the old lady in this state. She decides that her condition should be treated and take's the old lady to the GP. There she is diagnosed with schizophrenia. She is given medication and a handful of therapy sessions which the daughter is highly supportive through. Once these are over and the old lady seems not to be talking to herself anymore the daughter bids her farewell and leaves. We see the woman left sitting in her silent, empty house, painfully alone once more, this time not speaking to herself. The audience should mourn her illness which kept her company and acted to her as a comfort.
