1. ISTE Standards
1.1. For Students
1.1.1. I envision incorporating these standards into the activities and projects. done on a regular basis. I feel like many of these standards would pair well with or are already incorporated into my curriculum
1.2. For Teachers
1.2.1. I feel that these standards really lend themselves to more independent learning where the educator is more of a monitor of learning and the student is taking a much more active role in facilitating their own learning. In order to really adopt these in my classroom I would need to discuss them with administration. I already have several sets of standards to cover, but feel these would be much more applicable to our students
2. Wisconsin Digital Learning Plan
2.1. WDLP looks very similar to the Future Ready Framework. Student learning is in the center of 5 gears that are surrounded by collaboration and partnership. I have not seen this incorporated into my school yet, but definitely look forward to it becoming a piece of our curriculum. I feel these ideas supporting individualized student learning are really important to our 21st century learners.
3. Future Ready Framework
3.1. Future Ready Framework is a "Road map" set up to guide schools towards personalized student learning. Through 7 "gears" schools will be able to ensure a successful transition to digital work. Additionally, there is an emphasis on collaborative leadership, which works well with many of the other initiatives we reviewed as they incorporate sharing resources with one another. Personally, there are pieces of this framework that I feel I already do and some that I cannot without a major change in my school.
4. GoOpen
4.1. Go Open is a great way for districts to save money. Allowing educators access to an enormous range of free resources would almost eliminate the need to pay for new textbooks or website subscriptions. This is completely new to me but I hope to see this become commonplace in the near future!
5. WiseLearn
5.1. A collection of resources geared toward Wisconsin teachers. It encompasses most subject areas and shows the alignment to the standards. You can easily see the overview to the units and can print the entire unit, including summaries, assessments and worksheets. I can foresee using this when I need a supplemental activity or lab to reinforce what we are doing through our textbook series. Sometimes the way material is presented in the textbooks just doesn't fit our kids so it is great to have yet another go to FREE resource!
