1.1.2. To teach the students that they have a language:
1.1.3. ACTIVATING: I would say some words in Cree to the students and ask them if they know which language i spoke?
1.1.4. ACQUIRING: I would then say some words with the students. Students will have prior knowledge about the Cree language. I will just say a few basic animals names, and also count to five with them.

1.3.2. I would invite a fleunt speaking elder or member of the community to come in and tell the students a story in Cree.
1.4. Prerequisites
1.4.1. To have students understand that they have a language, just because they can't speak it fluently, but they still have a language.
1.4.2. The ability to use multimedia in ICT to share ideas and share their knowledge with classmates.

2.1.1. Social Studies Grade 1: All About Me
2.1.2. Students will understand that everyone is different . ex: family dynamics, favorite things, name, age, and so forth.
2.1.3. Activating: I'll ask students if they know the difference between themselves and their classmates. As the students tell me things i will write them on the whiteboard.
2.1.4. Acquiring: I will lead the students in a class discussion about who we are, our Identity, our names, our age, what grade we are in, our families, our favorite things, and whatever else they would like to share that makes them different from their classmates.

3.1.1. Social Studies Grade 1: A short presentation on Our School Community
3.1.2. To have students to put together a presentation as a group and also to be able to collaborate on it, and present it in class.
3.1.3. ACTIVATING: I will tell the students that they will work in groups of two to create a short video or podcast about the school as a community. Students will have prior knowledge of a school as a community. Which they will present to the class at a later date.
3.1.4. ACQUIRING: I will let students pick their partner that they are going to work with. I will then go around the room and ask them how they plan to do their presentation. (podcast or video)
3.1.5. APPLYING: Students will work on their presentations. I will help where help is needed.

4.1.1. Social Studies Grade 1
4.1.2. Students to be able to use locate Wuskwi-Sipihk on a map of Manitoba. Either using google maps or a standard wall map.
4.1.3. Where is Wuskwi-Sipihk First Nation on the Manitoba map?
4.1.4. Have students to be able to use google maps to find their location, or a location I ask them to look for.
4.1.5. Activating: I would ask the students if they know the name of the community we live in. I would then show a map of Manitoba to the students and ask them if they know where Wuskwi-sipihk is on the map.
4.1.6. . Acquiring: Students will have prior knowledge of google maps, and how to findand open the application on an IPad. I would then pull up the google map on the smart board and ask each student to come up and find where Wuskwi-Sipihk is. but I would slightly move the map, so that the students would have to actually look for it.
4.1.7. . Applying: Once students have come up and showed me on the smart board I would then get students to open up google maps and find Wuswi-Sipihk on it. I would a walk around the room and help students.

4.3.2. I'd have an elder to come in and talk about Wuskwi-Sipihk to the students. I would also have either the chief or one of the councillors to come and speak to the students.

4.4.1. To have the students to be able to find Wuskwi-Sipihk on the google maps or on a standard wall map of Manitoba.
4.4.2. It is important for students to learn how to use google maps, so when they are in a higher grade they are able to use this application.
