ADDIE Model por Mind Map: ADDIE Model

1. 1. Analyze

1.1. Identify variables to be considered when designing a course. (training needs and knowledge gaps)

1.1.1. Define learner characteristics

1.1.2. Identify learners’ prior knowledge

1.1.3. List resources available

1.1.4. Answer: Who, What, When, Where, Why, How? related to the course to be developed.

2. 3. Develop

2.1. Creation of content;

2.1.1. Will you develop in-house or outsource?

2.1.2. Get copyright clearance for third party materials.

2.1.3. Add content to web site or LMS

2.1.4. Accessibility, check to verify meets WCAG 2.0

3. 4. Implement

3.1. Delivery of the course.

3.2. Training or briefing of learner support staff

3.3. Student assessment

4. 5. Evaluate

4.1. Collect feedback and data to identify areas that require improvement for future iterations of the course.

4.1.1. Did we meet goals set in analysis stage?

4.1.2. Are there additional training in needs?

4.1.3. Did technology and resources help to meet lesson goals and outcomes?

5. 2. Design

5.1. Identifying the learning objectives for the course and how materials will be created and designed.

5.1.1. Specify content areas to be covered in the course?

5.1.2. Create a storyboard outline of course.

5.1.3. Specify and develop technology to be used.

5.1.4. Identify the LMS to be used.

5.1.5. Identify resources (YouTube, Khan Academy etc.) will you use to support course needs.

6. Rapid eLearning

6.1. Analysis and Designed can be combined in a meeting with SME to get to the heart of the course, objectives, materials, student needs, resource availability

6.2. Development will utilize templates developed, storyboard would be actual course to show SME and get instant feedback and evaluation of course development so far, corrections in development if needed to complete course

6.3. Usually in Rapid eLearning there would be an established template course layout which would help to reduce the need for training or briefing on course since students would be already used to the format, they could jump right into Implementation of the course and learning.

6.4. Evaluate would be built into all steps and meetings with the SME as well as end of course survey's for students to get input on effectiveness of the course.

6.5. This could cut the course development process in about half from the traditional ADDIE model. (Time saving here would be based on doing the initial work of developing effective course templates.
