3 Ways to Still Write When You Don’t Feel Like Writing
por Danny Forest
1. Rewrite or Edit Old Articles
1.1. Fix a sentence here, add a comma there, little by little rework the articles into something similar, but also new and fresh.
1.2. Literally write the article again. Word by word, sentence by sentence.
1.3. Reconstruct the original piece so that it resembles the original work, but it is not the exact same.
1.4. Try to add in some new ideas if you can
2. Summarize Other People’s Stories
2.1. Consumption is often the precursor to originality.
2.2. Read as much as possible in order to generate some of your own thoughts and ideas. If ideas are not flowing, summarize.
2.3. Pick some articles and formulate bullet points highlighting key ideas, themes, and thoughts that resonate.
2.4. Put these bullet points together to make full paragraphs, connecting ideas from one article you read to another
2.5. Add some of your own ideas as well.
3. Review Old Work and Other People’s Work
3.1. Reread some old works, and give them an honest review.
3.2. Write about likes, dislikes, questions you may have, things that still resonate, and things that you may now feel different about.
3.3. Formulate this into a full review!
3.4. Additionally, you can read and engage with another person’s work.
3.4.1. If you enjoyed it, post your review to their page or send it to directly to them
3.4.2. If not, maybe keep your thoughts and ideas to yourself
