1. Parents will enter into a tutoring relationship with teachers for a minimum of a semester to better understand that material being taught in order to better help students at home and avoid confusion. This relationship will also extend to better understanding both parties and work towards better helping the student.

3. SMART Goal:
3.1. Specific: Parents are helping teachers by learning from the teachers the material being taught in class in order to better understand and help their children.
3.2. Measurable: By the end of the semester, parental engagement in a student's learning will have increased by 10% (Increase of parental involvement in a student's education will increase by 10% of the population).
3.3. Attainable: This goal is not asking all parents to take part in the tutoring relationship, but rather trying to get 10% of student's parents involved in this manner by the end of the semester.
3.4. Relevant: Parents will be working with teachers for the benefit and help of their students. This will grow a strong relationship between parent-teacher-school and also give a greater understanding on both ends about a student's struggles as well as what is expected for students to know.
3.5. Time Bound: Goal is set for the end of the semester. This also gives time to make improvements for the second semester and try to get more parental involvement during that time and/or change the manner in which the teacher-parent tutoring happens to make it more efficient and more helpful when parents then try to help their children.
