1.1. Educators should create a positive learning experience for their student that will help them build compassionate online relationships as well as an empathetic community. Educators should facilitate a learning environment that promotes curiosity and fosters digital literacy. Leading by example, educators can mentor their students by providing a safe, legal and ethical practice as well as providing their students with data privacy.
2. Collaborator
2.1. An educator should openly and willingly collaborate with students and colleagues alike. Educators should not be afraid to share resources with colleagues and should not isolate themselves in an attempt to promote collaboration. An example of this could be teachers switching classes throughout the day and jointly teaching a lesson or creating a lesson plan together.
3. Designer
3.1. Educators should use technology to create, and personalize the learning experience for their students which will foster independent learning and accommodate learners differences. Educators should design authentic learning activities that align with the content area standards. As well as letting the students explore and apply instructional design principles to create innovative digital learning environments that are engaging and supportive.
4. Analyst
4.1. Educators should provide alternative ways for students to demonstrate competency for learning, using technology. The use of technology provides educators with the ability to submit assessments, provide feedback to the students as well as informing instructions. The use of assessment data is to guide progress and communicate with students, parents and other educators. 
5. Learner
5.1. Teacher's must be lifetime learners and interested in their own personal growth. We must set the example for our students and not be closed minded about trying new approaches and teaching by way of technology. Additionally, educators should stay abreast with the most tested and up-to-date ways of educating students. An example of this is a teacher signing themselves up for a professional learning group such as the AMTNJ (Association of Mathematics Teachers of New Jersey) which will keep the educator up to date on instructional framework.
6. Leader
6.1. Educators should display positive examples of leadership for their students and within professional networks. We must be advocates for what is in the best interest of the student. Not only must we lead our students but we must be willing to lead and assist our colleagues as well. An example of this would be a teacher who holds a position on a district community and advocates for policies directly related to availability of iPads for all students and ensures that her colleagues knows how to use the iPad as well.
7. Facilitator
7.1. As a facilitator, the educators role is to assist in making the connection between students and their various abilities. Success in this role allows the educator to transition from lecturer to guide. This requires the educator to build a classroom environment that supports student responsibility and create learning opportunities that promote innovative thinking. An example of this could be
