1. Conclusions: In this study is provided for the first time on line data on the Italian population lifestyle, eating habits and adherence to the Mediterranean Diet pattern during COVID-19 lockdown. As the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing, our data need to be confirmed and investigated in future more extensive population studies

3. Methods: The study aimed to investigate the immediate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on esting habits and lifestyle changes among the italian population aged 12 > years
3.1. The survey was carried out by the Section of Clinical Nutrition and Nutrigenomic, Department of Biomedicine and Prevention of the University of Rome. Qquestionanaire: demographic information (age, gender,place of residence,current employment) antrophometric data (reported weight and height); dietary habits information (adherence to Mediterranean diet) lifestyle habits information (grocery shopping, habit of smoking, sleep quality and physical activity)
4. Results: respondents 3533, aged 12-86 years. 48.6% gained weight, 3.3% of smokers decided to quit smoking, 38,3% increased physical activity. The population group aged 18-30 have a higher adherence to Mediterranean diet; 15% turned to farmers or organic
