1. There are five components that support emotional intelligence according to psychologist Daniel Goleman
1.1. Self awareness
1.1.1. The person with the ability to be aware of himself can recognize emotions, moods and the effect of actions on other people. they also recognize the relationships between the things they feel and how they behave.
1.2. Self Regulation
1.2.1. This ability refers to the way and time in which emotions should be regulated and expressed. Self-regulation focuses on expressing emotions in an appropriate way
1.2.1.1. Goleman says that those who are strong in skills such as self-regulation are often very conscious and thoughtful people.
1.3. Motivation
1.3.1. Emotionally intelligent people are motivated by things beyond external rewards like money, fame. Instead they seek to satisfy internal needs and goals, are highly committed, and are good at taking initiative.
1.4. Social Skills
1.4.1. This ability is very important, as it allows building meaningful relationships with others. It goes beyond understanding the emotions of oneself or others, it focuses on the constant work of the daily interactions or communications that are handled. Important social skills include listening, verbal and nonverbal communication, persuasion and leadership.
1.5. Empathy
1.5.1. It is the ability of how other people feel, knowing what to respond to the emotional state that the other person feels. It allows you to understand the power dynamics that often influence social relationships, especially in work environments.
