7.2.1.1. Jem begins to realise the ugly side of his community after Tom Robinson's trial. Jem begins to understand the reason why Boo Radley wants to stay in his house because the reality of the Society is very cruel which also obtains many filthy aspects. Boo is a vulnerable person if he involves in the society that he might be harmed. His action is a way to protect himself from getting injuries.
