Structure and forces por Mind Map: Structure and forces

1. forces acting on two or more parts of the object that occurs inside the object.

1.1. gravity force

1.2. compression

1.3. tension

2. form and function

2.1. function

2.1.1. function would be something in the object that have a role.for example student help whole school stufffunction would be something in the object that have a role.for example student help whole school stuff

2.1.1.1. the bike wheel move

2.2. form

2.2.1. form would be shape or structure of the object. like for example square.form would be shape or structure of the object. like for example square.

2.2.1.1. the bone take a form

3. external force

3.1. pressure that occurs the object. these pressures include wind and other things that can change the form and function of the object.

3.1.1. applied forces, push of pull

3.1.2. normal force like wind

4. Loads

4.1. Static Loads

4.1.1. Live loads

4.1.1.1. a type of static load caused by the weight of the objects it supports

4.1.2. Dead Loads

4.1.2.1. a type of static load caused by the weight of the structure itself

4.2. Dynamic Loads

4.2.1. any load on a structure that is not caused by gravity; for example, wind or rushing water

5. internal force

6. type of structure

6.1. frame structure

6.1.1. uses a exo-skeleton that supports each other. for example the Eiffel tower.

6.2. solid stucture

6.2.1. is a structure made of solid materials for example bricks.

6.3. shell structure

6.3.1. a hollow object that protects something on the inside. for example an egg.

6.4. combination structure

6.4.1. when two or more type of structure are jointed together. for example a house...

7. center of gravity

7.1. Definition

7.1.1. Center of gravity (COG) is where an object's mass evenly spread out and all sides are in balance.

7.2. Examples of different objects COG

7.2.1. The broom's COG is near the sweeping part because if it is in the middle of the broom, it will toppled over.

7.2.1.1. The ruler's COG is in the middle of the ruler because the weight is evenly spread already.
